As always, you start the game with a limited set of weapons, but as you progress through the introductory levels and start to collect bolts, you can purchase new weapons from gun vendors.
Weapons become more powerful as you use them and can now be upgraded with Raritanium, unlocking bonus abilities and alternate firing-modes. Levels are larger and more detailed than ever before, featuring an abundance of collectibles and side-activities to engage in. Tools of Destruction also offers a significant amount of variety, as the objectives you'll complete on each different planet as often vastly different.
Although most levels will see you blasting through dozens of enemies, you'll also spend some time solving puzzles as the tiny robot Clank, or mastering tough jumping challenges.
