Sellers breaks character and laughs during each attempt. The lines do not appear in the movie. It's why Chancy cuts through all the protocols and status quos. Peter Sellers is one of those actors that skillfully show how to be contained, just like Charley Chaplin showed it in his way and other actors I can't recall their names.
If we all were capable of not being able to take in the onslaught of the external world we live in today, I believe this world would be a better place. Although communication would be somewhat of a challenge.
For to choose words for what we experience inside and feel, outspoken and directed to another person, which we perceive as a mirror, in being human, with feelings and thoughts, we need to have the means to compare notes, in an awareness of others doing the same, while experiencing the presence of others in their world, who may perceive reality in a different way than we perceive it, isn't it?
It's by comparing that we create our definitions in life, even our identity in some way. After birth, we program ourselves toward becoming a person, more or less fitting in, depending on parents. Our mind's labeling is key I think, for words are definitions of things and concepts in relation to a life that is lived with others in the world of form, objects, circumstances and that's hard when one only lives in one's inner world, unaware of what's out there.
